Finding Your Place Between Ambition and Service to Others with Samara Kaufman-Waldman

In this episode, Kathy talks with Samara Kaufman-Waldman, sommelier and strategist with proven success in action and growth plans in both the non-profit and social impact business sectors. Since falling in love with winemaking in college, wine has been part of Samara’s life for more than 20 years. She’s a Certified Sommelier and her passion is organic, bio-dynamic and sustainable wines.

Samara’s journey is one where she finds her place between ambition and service to others. Samara had a calling to work in a field where she could help others. Where she could give more to the world than what she was taking from it. She eventually reached her end career goal of becoming an executive director but it wasn’t what she expected it would be. She struggled with the way she wanted to use her ambitious drive and skill set and fulfill her need to provide service to others. While working as a business professional, Samara never lost her calling and appreciation for wine. Samara and Kathy talk about the trials and tribulations Samara went through to get to where she is now.

Since launching Cinagro Wine in 2016, she’s been excited to take every opportunity to create a fun, energetic, approachable tasting experience and share her love of wine with others. Prior to launching Cinagro Wine Experience, she worked for 15 years in Strategy and Innovation. Samara lives in Atlanta, Ga with her husband, two children and rescue dog.
